The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) today notified that the HSLC & HSSLC Examination 2021 will be conducted in April 2021. The HSLC Examination will be conducted from April 7 to 21 and HSSLC Examination from April 6 to 29.
The Board Examinations shall be conducted with pen and paper through offline mode. The tentative date of HSLC & HSSLC Examinations 2021 results declaration is June 2021.
As per the exam routine released today, the HSLC Exam will begin on April 7 with English subject, followed by Social Science on April 9, Mathematics on April 13, April 15 – Second Language; April 19 – Science and Sixth Subjects on April 21. The timing for the examination is 9 am to 12 Noon.
For HSSLC students, the exams will begin on April 6 with English, followed by Education/Psychology on April 8, April 12 – History/Accountancy/Physics, April 14 – Alternative English/Hindi/Bengali/Tenyidie/
Sumi (Sütsah)/Ao/Lotha; April 16 – Philosophy/Financial Market Management, April 20 – Political Science/Fundamentals of Business Mathematics/Chemistry; April 22 – Geography/ Entrepreneurship/Music , April 24 – Sociology/Business Studies/Mathematics, April 26 – Computer Science/Informatics Practices, April 28 – Economics/Biology and April 29 – Vocational Subjects. The timing for the examination is 9 am to 12 Noon except vocational subjects (9 am-11 am).

The Class XI Promotion Examination will be conducted by respective schools from March 11 to 31, the detail instructions for which will be given later.
Meanwhile with the provision of reopening of schools, NBSE instructed institutions having Science stream to conduct some hands on experience practical class in smaller groups for class XI and XII students. The conduct of the practical should be based on the practical syllabus.
The NBSE also notified that internal assessments/project works for all the subjects shall be conducted by the schools through online/offline mode before the conduct of HSLC, Class XI Promotion and HSSLC Examinations 2021. After conducting the internal/practical/project work, the school shall record and keep the marks ready to be submitted to the Board on the dates as and when notified.
Subject teachers have been asked to inform students about the question bank of different subjects that was uploaded in the NBSE website on July 27, 2020. They will also inform the students about the reduced syllabus for 2021 examinations, which was uploaded in the NBSE website on September 1, 2020.
Blueprint of all subjects uploaded in the NBSE website dated 2nd December 2020 should be downloaded and circulated to all subject teachers. Subject teachers shall study the blueprint and acquaint themselves with the blueprint of the question paper of their respective subject. Subject teachers must prepare and guide the students with the type/design of questions given in the blueprint, it notified.
The NBSE also informed that as notified earlier, Model Test should be conducted by all the schools within February 5, 2021. Model test results will be submitted to the Board from February 6 to 12, 2021.
