Khrievitso Kense, the 16 year old Naga cricket from Nagaland has become the youngest Indian player to be shortlisted for Indian Premier League auction 2021.
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio congratulated Kense and hoped he gets picked by a great franchisee that will perform excellently.
According to a report published by Eastern Mirror, the young boy had been approached by a Mumbai Indians official who had seen him bowl during a tournament held in Chennai.
As per the ‘Player Auction List’ issued by the BCCI on February 11, Kense’s ‘specialism’ is All-Rounder – a Right Hand Batsman and a Right Arm Leg Break Bowler.
The uncapped player from Nagaland Cricket Association has a reserve base price of Rs 20 lakh.
Born on March 2004, Kense will be 17 years next month. Overall, 16-year-old Noor Ahmad Lakanwal, a ‘Left Arm Slow Unorthodox’ bowler from Afghanistan, is the youngest player in the list.
