Two entrepreneurs from Nagaland – Dr. Yan Murry and Vizosielie Rupreo were conferred with awards at the Bharat Entrepreneurship Summit held at NDMC convention centre, New Delhi on Friday.
Dr. Yan Murry, founder and chief executive of Pinnacle Skills received the Bharat Entrepreneur Award and Vizosielie Rupreo, founder of VR Farm received the Bharat Start-up Award.
Dr. Yan Murry, a social entrepreneur, has been working in the skill development sector since 2012. His organization Pinnacle Skills has helped train thousands of youths in sectors like hospitality, healthcare, construction, IT etc. and has helped them to find jobs and a means of livelihood.
Vizosielie Rupreo, a farm school teacher under ATMA from Chiechama Village is a dedicated entrepreneur and innovator in organic farming, free-
range livestock farming and apiculture. He was nominated for the award by SAMETI Nagaland, Director of Agriculture and SNO ATMA Nagaland.
“I am humbled to receive this recognition,” said Vizosielie “This award is a testament to the power of dedication, hard work, and a passion for creating a more sustainable future. I am committed to continuing my efforts in promoting sustainable agriculture and inspiring others to join me in this vital mission.”
Organized by the Entrepreneurs Association of India, the chief guest for the program was Mr Shombi Sharp, United Nations Resident Coordinator for India. The summit was attended by government dignitaries, officials of United Nations and accomplished entrepreneurs.
