Promising to open a ‘gateway of opportunities’ for aspiring entrepreneurs and farmers across the state, the Nagaland Chief Minister’s Micro Finance Initiative 2.0 (CMMFI 2.0) has been unveiled.
According to the State DIPR, the initiative is designed to provide holistic financial support, offering subsidies, tailored financial solutions, and innovative project support to turn ideas into reality.
CMMFI 2.0 covers a wide spectrum of entrepreneurial ventures, including:Retail: Provision stores, general stores, and pharmacies; Services: Auto garages, mobile food units, gyms, saloons, and craft industries; Transport: Taxis, ambulance services, and commercial vehicles; Innovation: Hydroponics, software/BPO, and e-commerce delivery centres; Hospitality: Homestays, cold storage, and bakery & cafeterias; and Agriculture: Customized finance for agriculture projects following NABARD guidelines.

For logistics and transport-related ventures, CMMFI 2.0 has partnered with leading automobile companies to offer exclusive subsidies on selected commercial vehicles. The companies include Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki Nexa, Kia, and Mahindra.
Eligible beneficiaries can access up to 30% back-ended subsidies on vehicles, with applications open under programs like Nagaland Tourism Connect and Nagaland Logistics Connect.
The initiative also offers simplified application processes and comprehensive support, including Detailed Project Report (DPR) preparation, application assistance through the credit portal, and linkages with financial institutions.
