The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will begin the registration process for SSC GD Constable 2024 on November 24. The last to apply for the SSC GD constable recruitment is December 28.
The commission has released a detailed notification for the recruitment of Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), NIA, SSF and Rifleman(GD) in the Assam Rifles Examination, 2023, on its official website.
The recruitment notification has been released for a total of 75768 vacancies across various paramilitary forces.
SSC GD Constable 2024: Important Dates

Candidates must note that applications for the various SSC GD constable posts will be accepted online mode only. The Computer-Based Examination (CBE) will be conducted only in two languages: English and Hindi.
SSC GD Constable 2024: Registration
The application process consists of two parts: one-time registration and filling out the online application form. Candidates must submit their applications in online mode at the official website of SSC.
The application fee is INR 100/-. Women, Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) candidates eligible for reservation need not pay the application fee.
The application fee can be paid online using BHIM UPI, net banking, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay credit or debit cards. Alternatively, the fee can be paid in cash at SBI branches by generating an SBI challan.

SSC GD Constable Vacancy 2024
As per the official notification, the SSC GD constable recruitment exam will be conducted to fill 75768 vacancies across various paramilitary forces. Candidates must note that these vacancies are tentative and any change in the number of vacancies will be intimated through the official SSC website.
SSC GD Constable Salary 2024
Candidates who will be recruited for the post of Sepoy in NIA will be paid remuneration as per Pay Level – 1 (INR 18,000 to INR 56,900). For all other posts, the remuneration will be paid as per Pay Level-3 (INR 21,700 – INR 69,100).
SSC GD Constable 2024: Eligibility
Candidates who wish to apply for the post of SSC GD constable must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:
Nationality
The candidate must be a citizen of India. Vacancies in CAPFs & AR are state/UT/area wise hence a candidate must submit domicile/ PRC against his state/ UT.
Age Limit
Candidates must be 18 to 23 years old as of August 1, 2023. In the normal course, candidates should not have been born earlier than August 2, 2000 and later than August 1, 2005. Reserved category candidates are eligible for age relaxation.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed the Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognised Board/ University to be eligible to apply for SSC GD constable posts.
SSC GD Constable 2024: Selection Process
The selection process for the post of SSC GD constable will involve a Computer Based Examination (CBE), a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), a Physical Standard Test (PST), a Medical Examination (DME/RME), and a Document Verification.
SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern 2024
The computer-based examination will comprise a single objective-type paper consisting of 80 questions. Each question carries two marks. The scheme of examination for the CBE is as follows:
