Sindhu, Men’s hockey team wins; Both move to Quarter-finals

India’s star badminton player PV Sindhu defeated Denmark’s Mia Blichfeldt in straight games to move into the quarter-finals of the women’s singles badminton competition at the Tokyo olympics.

Sindhu, ranked #6 won the match quite comfortably with 21-15, 21-13. With her winning streak continuing in the olympics Sindhu is a medal favorite for India.

Meanwhile, India men Hockey team beat Argentina 3-1 in their Pool A game to enter the quarterfinals. Varun, Vivek Sagar and Harmanapreet scored for India. Indian team will finish at least second in the pool.
