India’s ace badminton champion PV Sindhu’s winning streak at the olympics continues. Sindhu today defeated A. Yamaguchi of Japan in the quarter finals of Women’s singles Badminton at the Tokyo Olympics.
Sindhu won the match in straight games 20-13, 22-21. The Japanese player came back in the second game with a good fight but was no match for the Indian world champion.
With this win, Sindhu goes to the semi-finals with a good chance to win a medal for her country. She will next face the winner of the other quarterfinal between Thailand’s Ratchanok Inthanon and Chinese Taipei’s Tai Tzu Ying.
