Vyasan R, IAS, Additional Secretary, Planning & Coordination department, Government of Nagaland inaugurated the skill development project sponsored by Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (RECL), a Government of India enterprise, at Pinnacle Skills training centre in Dimapur today.
The project has been organized by RECL in association with National Skill Development Corporation and will be executed by Pinnacle Skills. Under this project over 500 youths will be trained in courses like Hospitality, Retail, Helper electrician and Data entry operator.
Addressing the gathering in Nagamese as chief guest, Vyasan asked the students to put sincere efforts in their training and not to hesitate to go for jobs outside if they get the opportunity as there were very less opportunities in the state. He opined that the experience achieved will be valuable. Vyasan mentioned that Government of Nagaland was working on the vision 2030 document and provided peace prevails a lot of job opportunities would be created for youths in the future. The chief guest also distributed job offer letters to successfully placed students.
Yabang Longkumer, Pastor, Covenant Baptist church Dimapur prayed for the project. Dr. Yan Murry, chief executive of Pinnacle skills chaired the inaugural programme while Debojyoti Sarkar, Head of Operations of Pinnacle Skills made a power point presentation of the project.
Admissions for the courses are still on. Interested candidates can visit Pinnacle Skills training centre in Khermahal and Nagarjan.
