Election Commission has published the revised electoral roll of Nagaland.
The revised electoral rolls published on Wednesday has 1189264 voters, there is around 2.2 percent increase from the draft electoral roll published in October last year. In revised electoral roll around 25, 876 new voters are added.
Abhijit Sinha chief electoral officer (CEO), Nagaland told ET, “In revised roll around 600536 are male and 588728 are female. We will use Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) across the 2194 polling stations.”
He added, “We have intensive review of the security scenario and sought 276 companies of Central para military forces (CPMF). We are expecting around 40 to 50 companies by end of this month.” (Agencies)
