The East Mojo news portal had reported on Sept. 30 that BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Nagaland Y. Patton may be plotting with former CM TR Zeliang to topple the Rio government.
#Nagaland: Recent ‘meeting’ of NSCN-IM leader Th Muivah and two former party mates — @BJP4Nagaland’s Y Patton and opposition NPF’s @TRZeliang — has once again raised unanswered questions#EastStory #NortheastIndiahttps://t.co/pibFFlEmOZ

In an early morning tweet, Y. Patton refuted the claim and said that “There is absolutely no truth in this report by
EastMojo…”
There is absolutely no truth in this report by @EastMojo, rather it is sad to see people with ulterior motives inventing such malicious rumours. The PDA Govt. Under CM Shri @Neiphiu_Rio is going as strong as ever and whatever is being claimed in the report is a work of fiction. https://t.co/B0YPWr4QfN

East Mojo wrote that Y. Patton, along with TR Zeliang reportedly met NSCN-IM general secretary Thuingaleng Muivah at Camp Hebron recently and that the duo are planning to forge an alliance to form a new government in Nagaland, with Patton as the chief minister.
Patton, while rubbishing the report tweeted that “PDA Govt under CM Rio is going strong as ever…”
