‘Biggest challenge is to have enough skilled workforce’: Nagaland skills Advisor

Nagaland Advisor for Employment, Skill development and Entrepreneurship Mr. Imnatiba while addressing the State skill development ministers conclave in New Delhi recently said that North East has many development prospects but the question remained whether we will have enough skilled man power to meet the pace of the industrial development in the near future.

Imnatiba who is also the Advisor for Industries and Commerce mentioned that the Look East policy of the Government of India has brought to the region visible development and the initiatives of the skill ministry has “created a consciousness of skilling in the entire nation especially in north east,” and added that we would not only serve as a corridor for east Asian countries but also “promote entrepreneurs to contribute our produces & product in that ASEAN highway”

He further requested the union minister of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) to upgrade and modernise the existing Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Nagaland
