“Nagaland attendees of Delhi religious congregation report immediately”: Health minister

Nagaland health minister Pangnyu Phom has appealed to those persons who attended the religious congregation held at Tablighi Jamaat at Hazrat Nizamuddin in Delhi to report immediately before any eventuality.

The minister wrote this appeal in his twitter account on Tuesday.

As per reports, the department of Health and Family Welfare has began the process of tracking the attendees.

According to reports, six persons from Nagaland had either attended or were in the vicinity of the congregation: two each from Dimapur and Zunheboto; and one each from Wokha and Tuensang.

A reliable source from Tuensang informed that the family of the person from Tuensang was contacted and have confirmed that the person is still in New Delhi.

“We are trying to get more information from the person regarding other Nagas that attended the congregation but the person denied attending the gathering,” said the source and added that further investigation is in process with the help of district administration.

An official from the department informed that both the persons from Dimapur have been tracked and kept in isolation. There were no symptoms of Covid-19 yet, it was informed.

The person from Wokha is still in Delhi, the official added.
