Nagland Govt. permits various commercial activities during Lockdown

The Nagaland Government, through the Chief Secretary’s office has issued an order on 23 April 2020 permitting the following activities:

1. Food processing industries in rural areas, i.e., outside the limits of municipal corporations and municipalities.

2. Industries operating in rural areas, including stone crushers, saw mills, brick klins in rural areas i.e., outside the limits of municipal corporations and municipalities.

3. Collection, harvesting and processing of minor forest produce/non timber forest produce by STs and other forest dwellers in forest areas.

4. Bamboo, coconut, areca nut, cocoa, spices plantation and their harvesting, processing, packaging, sale and marketing.

5. Construction activities in rural areas to include water supply and sanitation- laying/erection of power transmission lines and laying of telecom optical fiber and cable along with related activities.

6. Functioning of research establishments dealing with agriculture and horticulture activities.

7. Inter and intra state movement of planting materials and honeybee colonies, honey and other bee hive products.

8. Shops of educational books for students.

9. Shops of electric fans.

10. Recharge facilities for prepaid mobile connection.

11. Functioning of food processing units such as bread factories, milk processing plants, flourmills, dal mills etc located in urban areas.

The order mentioned that Social distancing for offices, workshops, factories, establishments and famrs must be ensured.
