Governor of the Reserve Bank of India(RBI) Raghuram Raja in a letter to Nagaland chief minister T.R.Zeliang acknowledged the receipt of the letter dated January 16,2015. In the letter, chief minister T.R.Zeliang had requested action from the RBI on news reports that money was remitted abroad to accounts in his and his wife’s name.
In the reply dated January 31,2015 , the RBI Governor informed Zeliang that he had requested the department in the RBI to look into the matter.
Meanwhile, Naga Peoples Front (Noke) said if the Chief Minister is really serious about an investigation the cabint whould authorize a CBI inquiry.
