As per reports Nagaland government has spent about Rs 88 crore in preparation and fight against Coronavirus.
Chief Secretary of Nagaland Temjen Toy said that the state government has spent close to Rs 60 crore on health sector – on purchase of personal protective equipment (PPE), ambulances, ventilators, bio-safety level laboratories (BSL-3 at Kohima and BSL-2 at Dimapur), and other health-related expenses.
About Rs. 3 crore from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund has been spent on helping stranded people.
About Rs. 25 crore has been spent for providing food to migrants, hiring of trains, and monetary assistance to the distressed and stranded citizens of Nagaland staying outside, including financial help of Rs. 10,000, Rs. 4,000 and Rs. 3,000, the chief secretary said.
