After a person with respiratory distress, a resident of Zeliangrong colony (Dhobinalla) in Dimapur, tested positive for COVID-19 in his confirmatory RT-PCR test, the DC Dimapur has ordered sealing of the house where he was living and a private hospital where he had first gone for check up and partial sealing of another two private hospitals the patient had subsequently visited.
According to reports, the patient had first gone to Shamrock Hospital here, from where he was taken to Nikos Hospital and finally to Eden Medical Centre, only where a screening test of COVID-19 was done on him that turned positive. Re-sampling for confirmatory RT-PCR test was done, the results of which returned positive on Sunday.
Shamrock Hospital sealed
Following receipt of the confirmatory test, the DC Dimapur and chairman DDMA, Anoop Khinchi IAS has ordered temporary sealing of the Shamrock Hospital Dimapur with immediate effect till further order.
Nikos, EMC partially sealed
The DC also ordered temporary sealing of the ICU and emergency ward of Nikos Hospital Dimapur and ICU Block of Eden Medical Hospital Dimapur with immediate effect till further order.
Partial sealing of Zeliangrong colony
The DC also ordered immediate sealing of House No 15, Ward No 18, Zeliangrong Colony (Dhobinalla), Dimapur and nearby buildings with immediate effect till further order.
SBI Bazaar Branch sealed
Meanwhile after an officer of State Bank of India, Bazaar Branch Dimapur who was transferred out on July 12 testing COVID-19 positive in Guwahati on July 17, the DC Dimapur has also ordered immediate sealing of the State Bank of India, Bazar Branch, Dhobinalla, Dimapur and SBI Staff Quarter Block-C at Bank Colony with immediate effect till further order.
The DC warned that any persons violating these containment measures would be liable to be proceeded as per the provisions of Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005, besides legal action under Section 188 of the IPC.
