Nagaland registers first death of COVID-19 positive patient

An elderly man who initially tested positive for COVID-19 through Truenat passed away at COVID hospital Dimapur on Friday morning. The man had multiple underlying ailments which made his case complex.

The patient had a pacemaker and had a weak heart. He died this morning at around 6:30 AM. The Eastern Mirror reported.

The patient was tested positive for Covid-19 through Trunat and final confirmation via RT-PCR test was awaited. The result of the test is expected to come out by Friday evening.

The man, a resident of Kalibari road Dimapur is the first casualty reported in Nagaland due to the novel Coronavirus.

As on 24th July, Nagaland has reported 1237 Covid positive cases.
