Nagaland Legislative Assembly Commissioner and Secretary Dr. P.J Antony in a circular to MLAs mentioned that “certian unforseen developments have emerged prompting the deferment of the 13th NLA scheduled for 30th July. Accordingly, the Hon’ble Governor has indicated 13th August 2020 for the deffered sitting…”
The Morung Express reported that the opposition Naga Peoples Front (NPF) resolved to “abstain” from attending the Assembly Session on July 30, after COVID-19 positive cases were detected among the staff of the Assembly Secretariat including MLAs and their support staff.
Meanwhile, the Kohima Deputy Commissioner has ordered the sealing of the Assembly Secretariat for 48 hours while fumigation and disinfection of the office premises is being initiated.
