The newly registered political party from Nagaland – the Rising People’s Party looks like a party with a difference and not the usual political party who assures big promises to the people.
The question is – if the party’s ideologies will remain the same in years to come. With the state general elections due on February 2023, it will be first big challenge for the brand new party.
Joel Naga, President, Rising People’s Party, speaking to Nagaland Post has said that “his party will fight the elections on issues, while other political parties will use money power to win the elections”
Joel says his party will be a “younger generation oriented party” and will look to empower young people and women.
The former ACAUT chairperson is also looking forward to field women candidates in the forthcoming elections so that women can find a place in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
