A total of 200 nominations were found to be valid after scrutiny on Wednesday, out of 225 candidates who had filed their papers to contest the upcoming Nagaland Assembly election.
According to the data furnished by the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Nagaland, nominations of 22 candidates were found to be invalid during the scrutiny process.
Three candidates namely P Engo Konyak from RPI (A) for 47 Aboi AC, HB Moba from LJP (RV) for 55 Tobu, and T Likhumse Independent for 59 Seyochung-Sitimi had withdrawn their candidatures.
