Veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor passed away at 67. A day before, his elder brother Randhir Kapoor had said the actor was taken to H.N. Reliance Hospital in Mumbai after some breathing difficulties.
The news was received with grief and shock by the film fraternity and PM Modi.
Multifaceted, endearing and lively…this was Rishi Kapoor Ji. He was a powerhouse of talent. I will always recall our interactions, even on social media. He was passionate about films and India’s progress. Anguished by his demise. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti.

The actor returned to India last September after reportedly undergoing treatment for cancer in the US for almost a year. In February, Rishi Kapoor was hospitalised twice due to his health issues.
The news of Kapoor’s demise comes a day after Bollywood suffered another setback with versatile actor Irrfan Khan losing battle of life after battling a rare form of cancer for two years.
Late Rishi Kapoor’s last message on Twitter appealed to all to maintain harmony in our battle against coronavirus.
An appeal 🙏 to all brothers and sisters from all social status and faiths. Please don’t resort to violence, stone throwing or lynching. Doctors,Nurses,Medics, Policemen etc..are endangering their lives to save you. We have to win this Coronavirus war together. Please. Jai Hind!🇮🇳
