The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to contest in all 60 seats in the upcoming state general elections in 2018.
Addressing a press conference at Hotel Saramati Dimapur, AAP Political Affairs Committee (PAC) member Ashutosh said it was time Nagaland reject corrupt politicians.
Sanjay Singh, another PAC member said AAP is committed to repair Nagaland’s deplorable roads within one year if given an opportunity to form the government.
The PAC members also said AAP will focus on education and health sector.
A search committee has been constituted to seek out candidates with good reputation. Members of the search committee include AAP Nagaland Convenor Dr. S Amos Longkumer, Sushil Kumar, Akavi N Zhimomi, Akheli Sumi and Dr. L Chuhwanglim. The committee would be assisted by PAC members Ashutosh and Sanjay Singh.
AAP lost in all the seats it contested in the just concluded Gujarat elections. It will be interesting to see how the party performs in Nagaland.
