The National People’s Party has declared Hayithung Bill Lotha as the party’s candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Bill Lotha was a member of the BJP for many years and resigned as the National Secretary, ST Morcha, BJP Central. He had a dramatic exit from the party recently over the Citizenship amendment Bill and blamed the BJP for not ‘caring enough’ for the Northeast people.
He also lashed out against the ruling NDPP and said that “Even as the entire North-East is undergoing a tumultuous upheaval in connection with the CAB, Nagaland Government led by NDPP has hangdog the Nagas,” stated Lotha in a statement confirmed to be sent by him to the press today.
