Leader of Opposition TR Zeliang expressed his concerns regarding the steps taken by the state government and has asked “How prepared is our state in a post-locked down scenario?”
In a Tweet, the former chief minister said “it is also a fact that lock downs are not long term solution to fight the virus. So how prepared is out state in a post locked down scenario?”
“Our state’s dismal preparedness to combat the pandemic is pathetic” he says.
“The lockdown should have served as a period to ramp up our state’s preparedness so that, as and when the lockdown were lifted, we would be in a position to handle positive cases on our own without having to run…for help from neighbouring states…”
“With one incomplete testing lab, too little ICUs with ventilators…ill equipped wards, poor quality PPEs for Doctors…our state could be wrost hit post lockdown at this rate” Mr Zeliang opined.
Is #Nagaland ready for a post-lockdown scenario? What's the strategy and mechanism in place? A concerted effort needed to stay safe and combat the virus and spread. Hoping that the GoN will step up to the challenge. pic.twitter.com/5wcUk6fgXq
