Governor P B Acharya has summoned the seventh (emergent) session of the 12th State Legislative Assembly on February 5.
“In exercise of the power conferred by Clause (I) of Article 174 of the Constitution of India, the Governor, P B Acharya, has summoned the seventh (emergent) session of the 12th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) on February 5,” an official notification issued by NLA Special Secretary A E Lotha said here today.
The session assumes significance as it would decide on the internal squabbling, which had been going on for almost a month within the ruling Naga People’s Front (NPF) as 22 of its MLAs withdrew support from incumbent Chief Minister T R Zeliang-led government on January 5.
