As per control room empowered group Dimapur, 19 passengers were expected to reach Dimapur from Delhi by train, two from Dibrugarh, 128 from Kolkata by four buses and 396 from Rajasthan will reach Lumding by a special train and thereafter leave for Dimapur on May 29 morning.
On 28 May, 52 stranded citizens reached Nagaland – 41 from Delhi and Dibrugarh by train, 4 from Guwahati by ambulance and 7 from Arunachal Pradesh by bus.
According to Y Kikheto Sema, who is also in-charge of Dimapur district for COVID-19 activities, Dimapur was accommodating around 75% of the total returnees, which is around 3200 of the total 4000 returnees.
He also disclosed that 12 COVID-19 positive cases in Dimapur comprised of four women and eight men and said that their condition was currently stable.
Sema acknowledged the frontline workers, chruches and Dimapur public for their cooperation. He requested doctors of all private hospitals to continue rendering their support. He also appealed to all civil society organisations in the state to unite and fight the pandemic together.
