State government has warned of initiating disciplinary proceedings against the heads of many district offices yet to report to duties in their respective district headquarters.
In a directive, chief secretary, Temjen Toy, said such act was unacceptable and amounted to wilful disobedience of government orders. As regards, the chief secretary has directed all deputy commissioners to report the names and designation and other details of officers who were not present in their respective district headquarters. DCs have been directed that the report should reach the chief secretary by 3 pm of June 1, 2020.
