1,501 returnees are set to arrive in Dimapur on a special train from Bengaluru on June 5. A coordination meeting was held in Dimapur today to discuss matters related to reception and dispatch of the returnees.
According to the Control Room, Empowered Group Dimapur, the train is expected to arrive between 12 noon and 1:00pm.
A report from the DIPR informed that as per the new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), all returnees are to be received, screened and dispatched by Team Dimapur to all 10 districts across the state.
The meeting therefore decided that 757 returnees of Dimapur district will be sent to the Agri Expo, for registration, screening & triaging by medical team and thereafter process for hosting the returnees at designated quarantine centers.
The remaining 744 returnees from the 10 districts will be screened by the medical team at railway station district wise as per the order of districts – Tuensang, Mon, Longleng, Kiphire, Zunheboto, Phek, Mokokchung, Wokha, Peren and Kohima.
After screening by medical team, all returnees shall be provided with meal and then proceed for transfer to respective districts.
The reception, accommodation, transport and food committees have been directed to prepare and keep all necessary arrangements on standby to service the returnees, including other districts, in case of any exigency.
The district nodal officers have also been asked to coordinate with team Dimapur and on completion of all necessary formalities, escort the returnees to their respective districts and quarantine centers.
In view of the train’s arrival, all retail shops, markets to remain closed from 5:00 am till midnight of June 5 in Dimapur town along with total restriction of normal vehicular traffic.
