State Funeral will be held on Friday at 12 noon at late Temjen Toy’s official residence, Officers Hill, Kohima.
All government offices in Kohima will remain closed on Friday to enable government employees to pay their last respects to the departed soul, a press release by cabinet secretary J Alam stated.
The body of late Temjen will be laid to rest the residence premises of his father, Er. Lanu Toy, retired chief engineer (Power) at A.G. Colony, Kohima.
Mr. Toy was diagnosed with cancer in mid-2020 and was under treatment. He was also flown to the US for medical treatment but returned without much improvement, sources said.
Toy was 57 and survived by wife and four children. A 1989-batch IAS officer, took charge as the chief secretary of Nagaland in March 2018.
