A 2-day public march against AFSPA will start from 6 AM at supermarket Dimapur on Monday.
The ‘peaceful and non-violent’ March against AFSPA will culminate on Tuesday at Kohima, where the participants will conduct a short programme before submitting a memorandum to the Governor.
About 200 participants are expected to participate keeping in mind Covid-19 SOP.
The peaceful protestors will march till Phiphema on Monday where Phiphema Village Council has reportedly arranged the accommodation of the participants at a school.
The participants have been requested to carry their own sleeping bags, toiletries, torches, necessary gadgets and accessories; wear walking shoes, maintain single file of walking and not obstruct traffic, follow COVID-19 SOPs and not litter.
The co-ordinators have arranged pick-up truck to carry personal belongings and buses for transportation back to Dimapur as well, it added.
